Currently in development.... sound touch cradle for the hardened soul community healing project.

sound touch cradle for the hardened soul community healing project.

outside sound touch cradle

sound touch cradle for the hardened soul is an offering, a service, an invitation. a playful improvised song long moment (or longer 15 minute co created nest) for you and I to soften and receive. We will be with the layers of our hardening hiding closing as well as our longings desires and love. We will honor your comfort boundaries wishes- totally safe. You may rest completely or sing along.

The vision of sound touch cradle is to offer healing one being at a time, to marginalized community groups, and then ultimately (and energetically) for all beings in this time where we are living and surviving in isolation. We are experiencing life through screens, witnessing and being bombarded by porn and violence, “reality” programming, an emergence of bigotry, and a painful political and financial environment. We are starved for touch, warmth, community, and face to face connection. Sound Touch Cradle is my way to offer solace and healing.

The series of personal sound healings culminates in a primarily improvised performance with text, music and movement. The first incarnation of this work was offered at Teddy Hulsker’s LOVEHAUS in February 2019.

Reviews:

“Standout moments also come from the delightfully self-absorbed bitchery of Bekka Fink and identical twins Lily and Michelle Drexler as Cinderella’s tormenting family.”

San Francisco Examiner Review by Robert Sokol on July 1, 2014

"Though a small part Cinderella’s evil stepmother is made memorable in a colorful turn from Bekka Fink, who also lends her lovely vocals to the ghost of Cinderella’s mother (who, in a nice turn, is actually the fairy godmother)."

Theater Dogs Review by Chad Jones, July 3, 2014

“Others who shine in this fast-paced musical are Bekka Fink as Cinderella's Stepmother.”

Talkin' Broadway Review by Richard Connema

Cinderella’s Stepmother (Bekka Fink), taunts Cinderella (Monique Hafen*) about going to the King’s Festival while stepsisters Lucinda (Lily Drexler) and Florinda (Michelle Drexler) look on.

Reviews:

“Many of the cast play multiple roles, and capably create well-rounded, very satisfying characterizations. Standouts for me include Bekka Fink as a zealous disciple.”

Bay Area Theater Review by Stacy Trevenon, February 18, 2013

"Bekka Fink, shines in many roles, especially in Bridgette Loriaux's fancifully choreographed gated-community fantasy and the cartoon-comic enlightenment medley of "Sid's Temptations."

SF Gate Review by Robert Hurwitt, February 10, 2013

"Reggie D. White, Simone Kertesz, Bekka Fink, and Dave Garrett give priceless turns as assorted devotees with their own issues to get over."

KQED Arts Review by Sam Hurwitt, February 11, 2013

Threepenny Opera (2010)

Directed by Susannah Martin

Ashby Stage in Berkeley

Shotgun Players website

Reviews:

"A half-decent "Threepenny" is a gift at any time, and Susannah Martin's staging of the 1928 Brecht-Weill masterpiece is better than that...it soars on the voices of Kelsey Venter, Beth Wilmurt, Bekka Fink and Rebecca Pingree."

SF Gate Review by Robert Hurwitt, December 8, 2009

“Bekka Fink as Mrs. Peachum; her venom on "The Ballad of Sexual Imperative" was hard to beat. In fact, the whole Peachum clan stands out.”

The Daily Californian Review by Sam Stander, August 9, 2013

"This production of The Threepenny Opera is worth every cent, and a whole lot more! It’s simply one of the best theatre productions of the year… a must-see, darkly-brilliant production”

- Mike Ward, SAN FRANCISCO BAY TIMES

Reviews:

"Bekka Fink, Christian Cagigal and Michael Carreiro -- who do yeoman work in many small parts -- light up the park as the fundamentalist family in an energetic, rousing hymn, "God's Little Warriors."

San Francisco Chronicle Review by Robert Hurwitt, July 7, 2003

"Bekka Fink's Judith is equal parts adorable and terrifying as a gun-crazy little girl."

Reviews:

“Bekka Fink intensely brings the artist-in-crisis to life before us…. Ms. Fink also brightens with a glow that permeates her whole being as she sings.”

Theatre Eddy's Review, September 25, 2015

"Bekka Fink gives a terrific performance as Nan.  She skillfully exposes an abundance of the character’s dimensions. She is sometimes fragile and ambiguous and sometimes expressive."

For All Events Review by Richard Connema, October 5, 2015

"The 3Girls Theatre Company production is enhanced by the charismatic talents of its cast, with Bekka Fink as the artistically drifting Nan, Danielle Thys as the brash Chloe, Tyler McKenna as the art dealer trapped between the two artists, and Douglas Giorgis in a series of comically overplayed cameos."
